What is a
Birdcake?!
Gonzo's Gourmet
Birdcakes are a veterinarian-approved blend of fruits,
vegetables, grain, seed,
calcium, vitamins and minerals that are baked into a "cake", each
cake being a daily serving. Our
birdcakes are made-to-order, and are hand mixed, not mass-produced.
The concept of the birdcake is to provide pet birds with proper
nutrition in a way that is convenient for the
bird's owner. Let's face it--how many people have time day after
day to chop up fresh fruits and vegetables
first thing in the morning? We want our birds to eat right, but
sometimes it just isn't easy to keep up with
what is required to maintain a bird's ideal diet.
Gonzo's Gourmet
Birdcakes are guaranteed to satisfy even the fussiest of eaters.
We know, because
some of our best feathered friends are very fussy, and they
gobble up these cakes like there is no
tomorrow!
We use only the freshest ingredients, and we vacuum seal the
cakes fresh from the oven. Your order is
shipped the same day it is made (if possible), or refrigerated and
shipped the very next day, so your
birdcakes will arrive as soon and as fresh as possible.
One order of our
birdcakes will last one month if you follow the feeding
instructions. We recommend
freezing the cakes as soon as you get them, then defrosting them in
your microwave before serving to your
bird friends (see feeding instructions enclosed with your order).
Once you serve them, stand back,
because birds have been known to dive for these delicious cakes!

Birdcakes are for African Greys, Cockatoos, Macaws
and other large hookbills. Small Birdcakes are for
Parakeets,
Cockatiels, Lovebirds and small Parrots.
